BYODJ Night is a dance event where the crowd controls what plays. Everyone in the room votes from their phones in real time. Whatever gets the most votes goes next. No DJ making the calls. Just whoever showed up.
We started doing this in Nashville because we kept going out and leaving early. The music wasn't for us. We're queer women who built BYODJ Night because we were tired of feeling like someone else had already decided what the night would sound like.
About these nights
Every night is different because every crowd is different. One goes deep into 90s R&B. Another turns into a goth set nobody planned. The room decides.
Every night runs the same way: join on your phone, add songs, vote, and dance. No app to download. No account to create. Just show up.
