Our commitment
BYODJ Night is a queer-friendly, BIPOC-welcoming, inclusive space. That identity shapes every event we run and every venue we agree to work with.
We believe every body deserves a dance floor. When the whole room votes and the crowd shapes what plays, no single person decides who gets to hear their music tonight. That's the reason we built it this way.
What this means in practice
Before any event happens, we talk with the host venue or organization about what we both expect. Safety, accessibility, who the night is for. If we're off on those things, we don't move forward together.
- We only partner with venues that are genuinely welcoming. We have that conversation before anything is booked.
- Hosts and venues are responsible for the environment during the event. They have full authority to step in if something goes wrong. We set the expectations; they hold the room.
- We prioritize working with LGBTQ+ orgs, BIPOC-led organizations, and community groups whose values match ours.
- If something about your experience felt off, we want to hear about it. Use the contact form below and we'll follow up within 24 to 48 hours.

Who we are
We are women- and queer-owned, based in Nashville. We're excited to bring more fun dancing nights to the area in a safe and inclusive way.
